Sweden Finances Nigerian Reality Show
Sweden is helping Nigeria finance a reality TV show as part of an aid project aimed at promoting peace and dialogue among Nigerian youths.
According to the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency, the series will show effective ways of handling and resolving conflicts and will, among other things, raise the issues of ethnicity and religious identity.
Almost 90% of Nigerian young people watch TV every day and organizers see the show as a very good way of reaching them.
The Swedish contribution will be more than US $700 thousand.
