Center Party Wants to Start Bonus System

Published fredag 21 april 2006 kl 08.42
Center Party leader Maud Olofsson

Center Party leader Maud Olofsson believes that new steps should be taken to help get young people into the work force.

The party now wants to start a financial bonus system for those who arrange permanent employment for unemployed young people.

The system the party is suggesting is based on a Dutch system which was tested successfully in the Netherlands.

Unlike Sweden, the Netherlands is one of the countries with the lowest unemployment rates among young people in the European Union, according to European Union statistics.

How much financial compensation there would be is not yet decided.
