Two Swedes have been sentenced to two years in prison in Iran, for photographing military installations.

The two are reportedly construction workers in their 30’s from western Sweden. They were convicted of espionage by a Revolutionary Court for taking photos of military sites, naval facilities, and telecommunications posts on the island of Qeshm in the Persian Gulf.

They could have been sentenced to death.
