Geography Decides Quality of Cancer Treatment

Published tisdag 16 maj 2006 kl 13.24

Where you live can be a matter of life and death, if you have cancer.

A new report from the Swedish Cancer Society shows that there are big deficiencies in the national coordination of cancer treatment.

Equipment used for treatment collect dust in certain parts of the country, while in others, people have to wait for months to receive chemotherapy.

The World Health Organization confirms that Sweden needs to better coordinate its resources and plan for the future.
