PM Criticized

Published onsdag 17 maj 2006 kl 14.01

It is time for the Government to receive its yearly grade of behaviour, and a list of do’s and don’ts.

In a report from ”The Parliamentary Committee on the Constitution”, the performance of the Prime Minister and his cabinet is evaluated and commented on.

For example, Prime Minister Göran Persson is criticized for comments he made on the deportation of two Egyptians suspected of terrorism.

The Minister of Public Health was criticized for comments he made about refugee children suffering from Pervasive Refusal Syndrome being maltreated by their families.

The Committee on the Constitution writes that it is of great importance that cabinet ministers and the Prime Minister himself, show modesty in expression and correctness in order to not harm those concerned.

The ministers are also criticized for taking too long to answer questions from Parliament, and for handing in their government bills all at once.
