The newspaper Aftonbladet reports that British anti-terror police have worked with their Swedish counterparts detaining suspects in suburb of Gothenburg.

According to the report, four apartments were raided on Tuesday last week. One of those detained, a Swede who converted to Islam in the late 90’s, tells the newspaper he doesn’t understand why British police were allowed to do as they wanted in Sweden.

The 28 year old convert has made several threatening statements on the Internet, after Christian fundamentalist here called Mohammed a “confused pedofile”. He has also praised suicide bombers in online chatrooms.

Public prosecutor Agnetha Hilding Qvarnström has confirmed a request from Britain for help here, but refused to comment on the joint operation.
