Ljungberg Back on Track
Sweden midfielder Fredrik Ljungberg has resumed training after recovering from a foot problem and should be ready to play in Sweden’s last World Cup warm-up friendly against Chile on Friday.
The Arsenal star took part in a training session in Stockholm based largely on jogging and the 29-year-old player commented, ”My foot feels great.”
Since the last World Cup in 2002, Ljungberg has suffered several prolonged injury absences.
Sweden will play Trinidad and Tobago on June 10 in their World Cup Group B opener before facing Paraguay on June 15 and England five days later.
