Jämtin Criticizes US and Muslim Nations

Published fredag 2 juni 2006 kl 12.18
for Minister for International Development Cooperation Carin Jämtin

Minister for International Development Cooperation Carin Jämtin has strongly criticized the United States and several Muslim nations after they tried to stop several proposals at the United Nations Summit on Aids.

At the summit the US denied that condoms could be used to prevent Aids, and prostitutes were not considered in the risk group for catching the virus that causes Aids.

Jämtin says that ”we can’t discuss what is moral in this way” adding that ”it’s moral to save lives.”
