Blix Says There’s Time to Talk to Iran
Former head UN arms inspector Hans Blix says the Iraqi experience should lead the world powers to take a more cautious approach with Iran.
The Swedish diplomat was speaking in Rome Tuesday, in connection with a presentation of the report of his commission on weapons of mass destruction.
There is widespread concern that Iran may be working to build nuclear weapons.
Recently American President George W. Bush said Tehran has weeks, not months to accept an offer to end the crisis. At a press conference in Rome, Blix said the world is not in such a hurry, and there is still time to talk.
