Guilty Verdicts in Terrorist Trial
Three young men here have been found guilty of planning terrorist attacks.
Two of them, in their early twenties, received sentences of two and three and a half years in prison. They were found guilty of a botched attempt to fire bomb a polling station here for last December’s Iraqi elections, and for plotting a similar attack on the headquarters of the fundamentalist Christian group, the Word of Life.
The youngest, 19 years old, has received an eight month sentence for planning an unspecified attack with the other two.
