Pete Doherty Fined for Cocaine at Hultsfred

Published måndag 19 juni 2006 kl 11.11

British rock star Pete Doherty has been fined around 1900 dollars here after testing positive for cocaine.

Doherty and his band Babyshambles were here to perform at the Hultsfred rock festival in southern Sweden. He was arrested after a performance that started at 3:00 AM and featured instruments, microphones, and photographers thrown into the audience.

Despite two rapes, one case of arson, and ten cases of assault, the police say this year’s festival was the calmest in years.
