Islamist Seizures at British Request

Published onsdag 21 juni 2006 kl 11.02
The Swedish raids followed last July's London bombings

The newspaper “Dagens Nyheter” reports that several months ago at the request of the British authorities, the Swedish police seized several items in Stockholm, because of suspected Islamist connections.

In December a computer and an address book were reportedly confiscated during a raid on a woman’s home. In April a 43 year old man was called in for questioning, and what are described as documents were confiscated, and turned over to the British.

Earlier this year Swedish police raided apartments in Gothenburg and Malmö because of suspected terrorist links, also at the request of the British police.
