Swedes’ confidence in the leaders of their political parties has plummeted according to a study carried out by the University of Gothenburg. This includes the leader of the ruling Social Democratic Party and Prime Minister Göran Persson. Radio Sweden’s Azariah Kiros talked to Professor Sören Holberg, Sweden’s leading analyst on voter trends:

Ministers from some 50 countries within the World Trade Organisation kicked off a meeting in Geneva, Switzerland today. The meeting is being described as one of the most important in 5 years of comprehensive trade talks. Sweden is also taking part - Mark Cummins has the details:
