No Link: Exercise and Ovarian Cancer
A new Swedish study indicates that physical exercise does not reduce the risk of developing ovarian cancer.
Researchers at Stockholm’s Karolinska Institute studied around 96,000 women in Sweden and Norway over a 10 year period. Writing in the “International Journal of Cancer” they say the risk of contracting ovarian cancer was the among those who exercised and those who did not.
However, they say that physical activity has so many other beneficial effects, women should still be encouraged to exercise daily.
