The Turkish man who threatened to set fire to himself at a migration board office in northern Sweden is being charged with causing a danger to others.

After being denied asylum in Sweden on Monday, and man brought his wife and children to the migration board officers in Kiruna and poured gasoline over himself. After 11 hours of negotiations he gave up and was taken for psychiatric care.

The family’s lawyer has called for their asylum application to be reconsidered.
