Witness harassed despite being in a safe house
A restaurant owner who was to be a witness in the trial of Hells Angels members accused of blackmail has been threatened by two men who found him at the safe house he was moved to by the Swedish police.
One of the men recognised him from a court hearing, the other one photographed him with a mobile phone. Both had fled before the police arrived.
The restaurateur’s lawyer is reported to have said someone inside the police must have tipped the men off.
The Police say the witness, from the central town of Karlstad, had told the receptionist at the hotel he was staying at that the police had placed him there.
