Serial Rapist "Haga Man" Appeals

Published tisdag 1 augusti 2006 kl 11.33
The Haga Man on trial

Sweden’s worst serial rapist, the self confessed Haga Man, is appealing his conviction for attempted murder.

Niklas Lindgren was found guilty for a series of rapes in the northern town of Umeå but denied charges of attempted murder during the trial.

According to his attorney, Lindgren never attempted to murder any of the women he raped, and that is why an appeal has been sent in.

Lindgren was sentenced to 14 years in prison for attempted murder, rape, two cases of aggravated rape, and attempted rape.

He’s also been ordered to pay 115 thousand dollars in damages to his victims.
