EU Foreign Ministers Hold Emergency Meeting
EU Foreign Ministers held a rare emergency meeting in Brussels Tuesday on the crisis in Lebanon.
On the agenda were reports from the Finnish Foreign Minister Erkki Tuomioja and EU foreign policy chief Javier Solana who have both been in the region.
Swedish, French and Irish diplomats insisted the EU meeting had to call for an immediate cease-fire.
According to a Swedish diplomat quoted on CNN ”We don’t see how we can start anything without that.”
Sweden along with Finland, Italy, France and Spain are considering sending troops to Lebanon.
