Roughly 15 thousand people marched through downtown Stockholm on Saturday afternoon to celebrate gay pride.

Marchers in the annual Pride Parade included Center Party leader Maud Olofsson as well as police officers representing Sweden as well as several foreign countries.  Police say it was the highest turnout ever for the parade and that an estimated 150 thousand people lined the streets of the city to watch.  Although little trouble was reported during the week-long celebrations last week, early Saturday morning three young skinheads allegedly roughed up a woman and two men near Pride Park, with one man taken to hospital.  The attack is being labeled a hate crime.
