Opinion poll happy reading for opposition parties
Ahead of next month’s election in Sweden, it is putting the non-socialist alliance more than 4 percentage points ahead of the government and its allies.
It suggests the ruling Social Democrats, the left party and Green Party, have support from 46 per cent of voters, and the opposition Moderates, Christian Democrats, Liberal Party and Centre Party have just over 50 per cent.
When the poll was carried out the non-socialist alliance had just announced it would lower property tax; the Social Democrats would later reveal their plans to freeze it.
Swedes go to the polls on September 17th.
