New jobs but less pay
More and more white-collar workers are being forced to accept lower salaries when they get new jobs after being unemployed, according to a new study.
36 per cent who have gone back to work this year are now said to be earning less than in their previous post. The study also sjows men in particular are having to take lower paid jobs.
Meanwhile new government figures show that few Swedes are going back into work after being on long-term sick leave. More than half a million of Sweden’s 9 million citizens are on various forms of sick pay and only 6 thousand go back to work each year.
