Sweden’s leading morning daily Dagens Nyheter has appointed Thorbjörn Larsson as its new editor-in-chief, after Jan Wifstrand resigned from the post last week.

Larsson, a former editor-in-chief of Sweden’s largest tabloid Aftonbladet, will start the job September 4th.

Larsson said he may bring several changes to the newspaper, but that it will keep its focus on delivering”broad quality.”

The Stockholm-based DN is Sweden’s largest morning daily, with a circulation of 367,000 and 580 employees.
