Highest Employment Since 2000
Statistics Sweden reports that the number of people with jobs here rose by 2.1 percent during the second quarter, compared to the same period last year.
Employment is now at its highest level since the beginning of the century.
The increase was mostly in the private sector, 2.7 percent. The largest jumps were among property and leasing companies, with a healthy increase in the construction sector, while employment shrank slightly in manufacturing.
