Incorrect Absentee Ballot Instructions
The newspaper “Helsingborgs Dagblad” reports that all 100,000 Swedes living abroad have received incorrect information about their absentee ballots.
Many have had their ballots returned undelivered, as following the instructions puts the wrong address in the envelope window.
The election authorities are aware of the mistake, and say Swedes living abroad should order new election materials, which carry the correct information. But with the elections in less than a month, in many cases there may not be time.
Swedes living abroad can also vote at embassies and consulates.
