Green Repeat Demand for Coalition

Published onsdag 6 september 2006 kl 11.51
Green co-spokesperson Peter Eriksson

The Liberal Party scandal diverted attention from the interview with Green Party co-spokesperson Peter Eriksson on Swedish Television Tuesday evening.

For the past four years both the Green and Left parties have supported the Social Democrat government in parliament, without being part of a formal coalition. Eriksson repeated his party’s demand that the price of support after the election will be minister posts in a new government.

He also underlined differences between the Greens and the ruling party regarding nuclear power and holding a referendum on any new European Union constitution.
