Swedes in Afghan Fire Fight
Swedish and Finnish troops in northern Afghanistan killed a local warlord and wounded three other armed men during a clash Tuesday.
NATO says the Nordic troops were attacked with rocket-propelled grenades, small arms fire, and a roadside bomb. The Swedish and Finnish soldiers, who are serving with the NATO-led force in Afghanistan, suffered no casualties.
The commander of the Swedish force says the dead warlord had been accused of being behind several attacks in recent months, including some against aid workers.
Sweden has around 220 soldiers in northern Afghanistan, while Finland has 90.
