"Bomb" Turned Out to be Measuring Equipment

Published måndag 25 september 2006 kl 11.00

A number of streets around the government offices in central Stockholm were cordoned off by police Monday morning, after a suspected bomb was discovered.

The object, found by street workers around 6:00 AM, turned out to be measuring equipment from the State Railways.

The area, which included several government ministries and the prime minister’s offices, was reopened after around three hours.
