"Unacceptable danger" for Swedish troops
It is being claimed that the safety of Swedish troops in Afghanistan is being put at an unnecessary risk because of the low security at their base.
There is no electronic surveillance of the camp in the northern city of Mazar-i-Sharif, and it is claimed troops are not adequately protected from gunmen because the wall around it is so low.
Officers in the Swedish military say it is because of a serious delay in the building of the base and because of a ”softly softly” approach.
Two hundred troops live there at the moment and most are Swedish.
