SAS Strike Averted
The threatened strike at the Scandinavian Airlines System in Sweden has been averted.
Agreement was reached Tuesday night between SAS and the union representing Swedish cabin personnel. After twenty straight hours of negotiating, the two sides accepted a compromise on working hours and rest periods between flights.
The agreement is only until February, as the union says it wants to see if SAS abuses the terms.
A conflict involving SAS cabin personnel in Denmark remains unresolved.
