Immigrants Receive Worse Healthcare
Swedish Radio News reports that healthcare for people with immigrant backgrounds here is not as good as for those born in Sweden.
A study, presented at a medical conference in Linköping, found that emergency room treatment was the same for all. But otherwise there are major differences.
The head of the Swedish Council on Technology Assessment in Health Care, which carried out the survey, gives the example of heart attack victims. Those born abroad, he says, are much less likely to receive the proper medicine afterwards.
