Social Democrat Youth leader won’t quit over assault
The leader of Sweden’s Social Democratic Youth League says she has no plans to step down after her convictions on Thursday following a drunken brawl in a Stockholm bar.
Anna Sjödin was found guilty of four charges including assaulting and racially abusing a bouncer during the fracas in January, which started after she was refused more alcohol.
She was given a five thousand dollar fine and her lawyer says she will appeal.
But there are now growing calls from within the party for her to quit.
