Flight Disruption For Swedes Flying Finnair
Hundreds of passengers were left stranded at airports in Sweden on Thursday morning because of a strike by Finnair cabin staff. All Flights to Helsinki frim Stockholm and Gothenburg were cancelled.
Staff are protesting at plans by the company’s Estonian subsidiary Aero to hire 500 staff at wages 30 percent lower than those paid by the parent company.
Meanwhile the new government’s decision not to introduce a planned green tax on plane tickets has promted the Irish low-cost airline Ryanair to reopen its routes to Dublin and London Standtead from Västerås, West of Stockholm.
