Pipeline Radio from northern Lithuania

Published måndag 14 november 2005 kl 13.30

Pipline Radio, a UK net-based station (www.pipelineradio.org), is about to commence programmes from Bubia in northern Lithuania on 1386 kHz AM.

The station will operate every Wednesday evening from the 30th November from 23:00 hrs after Radio China International close-down.

Pipeline Radio was formed by two former Radio Caroline presenters and began broadcasting in 1995 as a landbased rock pirate staion operating from flats in South London. In recent years it has gained a satellite licence and can be heard over the Internet 24/7 at pipelineradio.org.

The new 1386 AM service intends to play a high portion of music from the Baltic’s and Scandinavia. All reception reports would be welcomed by the organisation ideally with sound recordings at studio@pipelineradio.org (Steve Cisco)
