New Record for Swedish Radio Online Listening
On February 15 Swedish Radio set a new record for simultaneous Internet radio listeners. Altogether 60,000 Internet users listened at the same time.
The occasion was Anja Pärson’s bronze medal downhill ski run at the Turin Olympics.
The previous record was two years ago during the Athens Olympics, when there were 35,000 simultaneous web radio listeners.
During the entire day on February 15 there were several hundred thousand listeners for Swedish Radio online. The survey institute RUAB has previously reported 600,000 web radio listeners a week for Swedish Radio.
