Daniel Harding has had the archetype of a meteoric career. Having had both Simon Rattle and Claudio Abbado as mentors in his teens, Harding has travelled a remarkably long way from the Oxford of his childhood to the most famous concert halls in the world.
Daniel Harding is currently principal guest conductor of the London Symphony Orchestra, music partner of the New Japan Philharmonic, artistic director of the Ohga Hall in Karuizawa in Japan and chief conductor of the Orchestre de Paris. He has been chief conductor of the Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra since 2007 and celebrated his tenth anniversary last year with performances of some of the greatest symphonic works of the 19th Century.
