Several British media revealed on Sunday how Svenska Dagbladet sports chief Ola Billger had used binoculars from his hotel window to spy on Roy Hodgson's tactical masterplan to take on Sweden in Euro 2012 and then passed on his news to the Swedish camp.

Following Friday night's 3-2 defeat to England which eliminated Sweden from Euro 2012 after only two matches of the competition, Sweden's head coach Erik Hamrén faced the media on Saturday and said "If you want to hang someone then hang me, I take responsibility for how we have done."

Sweden are out of Euro 2012 after losing 3-2 to England in Kiev on Friday night. The Swedes had fought back from a goal down to take the lead through two second-half goals from Olof Mellberg but substitute Theo Walcott changed the game by scoring the equaliser for England and then setting up Danny Welbeck for the winner to break Swedish hearts.

The two sets of fans had congregated in the rain to drink and watch a big-screen showing of Ireland's game against Spain. Rival chanting escalated into several attempts to break a line of security personnel.

Sweden's tabloid Expressen released TV footage from training on Tuesday of several players and assistant manager Marcus Allbäck kicking footballs at the bare backside of Johan Wiland.

Sweden have it all to do to qualify from Group D after they lost 2-1 to Euro 2012 co-hosts Ukraine on Monday night. Zlatan Ibrahimovic had given the Swedes the lead shortly after half-time but veteran striker Andriy Shevchenko rolled back the years to score two headed goals to give the Ukranians a famous victory.

Thousands of Swedish fans took to the streets of Kyiv on Monday ahead of Sweden's Euro 2012 opener against Ukraine. Around ten thousand Swedish fans will be in attendance at the city's Olympic Stadium on Monday evening.

Sweden coach Erik Hamrén has given his first press conference in Kiev on the eve of Euro 2012 in Poland and Ukraine.
The Swedish squad flew out to Ukraine yesterday and are now settled into their hotel complex which will be their home for the tournament. The Swedes are based at the Platium Hotel which is 20 kilometres south of Kiev. Sweden will play all three of its Group D matches in Kiev.
The Swedish men's national football team trained Sunday at the Stockholm arena Råsunda, later meeting the press.
"If I get a medal in the Euro 2012 it beats everything else I've ever won," said team captain Zlatan Ibrahimovic. "There's nothing bigger than taking home a medal for your home country."
