Summer Tires Cause Snow Chaos
The first snowfall brought traffic chaos to Sweden this week and it’s not the fault of those snowflakes
One culprit according to the Swedish Road Administration are trucks without winter tires.
The Road Administration has levelled stark criticism at Sweden for not implementing a law that would force trucks to have chains or winter tires. This week, stranded trucks blocked the way for snowploughs leaving people stuck in their cars for hours on end.
