Sweden’s King Carl Gustaf and Queen Silvia are in Austria for a three day state visit.
The royal couple was welcomed Tuesday with military honors by Austrian President Heinz Fischer and his wife Margit in the courtyard of the Hofburg Imperial Palace in central Vienna.
Their schedule includes a meeting with the president of the Austrian parliament, a state banquet, and a visit to the United Nations headquarters in Vienna.
