Wind Power Slowly Increasing

Despite the fact that Sweden has shown the highest efforts in installing new wind power plants in the previous year, it is still among those countries in Europe that generate least from this renewable energy source.

According to figures calculated by the European Wind Energy Association, Sweden generates roughly 800 megawatt yearly from its wind power plants - compared to 22,000 megawatt produced in Germany.

The European Wind Energy Association maintains that Sweden could easily produce as much megawatt as Germany, but Swedish experts are skeptical of such a positive outlook.

They refer to the fact that other countries boosted their wind power industry by guaranteed prices – which has not happened here in Sweden.
