On Wednesday the deputy Attorney General, Per Lindqvist, consigned his proposal on stricter laws against hooligans to Minister of Justice Beatrice Ask.
According to the proposal, so called fans who enter the field without permission face a prison sentence up to 6 months. Apart from that, the police will be entitled to deprive hooligans of the right of accessing a stadium if they are expected to cause trouble.
As of today, football clubs only can impose bans on hooligans. The Swedish football league has seen several riots in which both players and referees were hurt.
