Pension Information Too Confusing

Information about Swedes’ old age pension is so poor that many people have no idea how much their state pension will be when they retire, according to The Swedish National Audit Office.

Every year every Swede gets an orange envelope in the post with all the details on their estimated pension figures, but the letters are so complicated that many can’t understand them, according to the auditors. One in five people don’t even open the envelopes, they say. They are now asking the government to look into ways of reforming the information being sent out to Swedish households.
