Faulty Fermented Herring Recalled

Swedes who enjoy fermented herring, whose season runs from the end of August to late September may be disturbed to know that one company’s whole supply of 120,000 cans of the stuff have been recalled.

Producers Höga Kusten say that some of the tins have been found to leak.

According to tradition, the third Thursday in August is the day on which the Swedish delicacy hits the supermarket shelves and can be eaten.
