Double contract cheated Polish forest workers

Swedish union officials are upset about an illegal maneuver by a local company in employing Polish nationals. An investigation showed that a group of 30 Polish forest workers had received two different contracts earlier this year. The recruiting company in Poland confirmed that the Swedish employer had handed out an official contract showing he was paying the legal minimum wages, but that the contract with their real working conditions did not meet this standard.

Dan Persson of the forest workers union called the maneuver a clear case of fraud.
