Swine Flu

“Most Likely" First Swedish Case

Sweden might have its first case of swine flu. In a press release published on the Internet on Sunday afternoon, Stockholm’s county council informed the public that a 50 year old woman from the Stockholm region “most likely” bears signs of the A/H1N1-virus, also called the novel flu. The woman had come back from a trip to the United States when she developed mild symptoms of the swine flu. She is now well again.

As a precaution, her relatives are treated with anti-virus medication. A definite diagnosis will not be available until all the necessary tests have been run, Stockholm’s county council announced.
