Wallström Praises Reinfeldt’s Government
EU-commissioner and Social Democratic politician Margot Wallström has praised Sweden’s centre-right government for its commitment to the European Union. Speaking to daily Svenska Dagbladet, Wallström maintained that Prime Minister Fredrik Reinfeldt and his cabinet are doing a much better job on the European stage than former Social Democratic leader Göran Persson’s government.
According to Wallström, Sweden’s current ministers are very active in Brussels, take part in many meetings and are good at reporting back to Stockholm on what is going on in the European Union. This should bode well for Sweden’s upcoming EU-chairmanship, Wallström concluded. (ah)
