Stockholm Cable Network Closed Down

Services from ComHem, Sweden’s largest cable TV provider, were cut off in Greater Stockholm Tuesday evening. Besides cable, ComHem’s IP telephony and broadband services were also offline, along with the network’s own website.

According to the newspaper ”Dagens Nyheter” a dug up cable may have been responsible. Swedish Radio News also reports problems with Viasat’s digital network, because of a power failure in eastern Stockholm.

ComHem’s cable services were back after about one hour offline.
