Can Iceland learn from Sweden?

The economic crisis in Sweden’s northern neighbor Iceland has shaken many in the Nordic region and beyond. The unique popular protest not only toppled the conservative-led government and its allies in the banking and finance world from power, but paved the way for an interim red-green government coalition which now has won the new elections.

At a Stockholm conference on the crisis, Radio Sweden’s reporter talked to several Icelanders discussing the crisis and Swedish journalist Johan Ehrenberg noting how both the Icelandic banks and their friends in the media refused to see what was coming.
