Sweden Qualifies for Final
Swedish entrant Malena Ernman has proceeded to the final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2009 in Moscow. Ernman’s song “La Voix” was among the 10 songs that emerged from the first semi-final on Tuesday night.
Fifteen out of 25 finalists are now known. Russia, France, Germany, Britain and Spain are automatically given the right to compete in Saturday’s grand final, while the remaining 10 finalists will be chosen on Thursday. So far Sweden has won the Eurovision Song Contest four times. During the previous years though, the country has done rather poorly.
