Russian Jewels Found at Foreign Ministry

The Swedish Foreign Office has discovered treasures worth at least 3 million US dollars in its vaults. Over 60 jewel-covered cigarette cases and cufflinks that used to belong to the Russian Royal Family, and were handed to the Swedish Embassy in St Petersburg for safekeeping in 1918 were uncovered.

Swedish Radio News reports that the treasures, made by Fabergé and Bohlin, have now been handed back to the descendants of the Russian royals, the Romanovs, who have decided to auction off the items at Sotherby's in London.
