Electrician Strike Over

The Electricians Unions in Sweden have called off their strike action after reaching a deal with employers over a new collective agreement.

The two parties came back to the negotiating table on Wednesday, breaking an impasse between the two sides dating back to the 15th of April when the Electricians Union introduced an overtime ban affecting 1900 members and stopping all repairs to Sweden's hydroelectric power plants.

On Friday morning, the energy company organisation EFA said that a deal had been struck covering the next 24 monmths with a 3.64 percent wage increase.
